Key Responsibilities

This job maintains the tickets within the project management and tracking system for the Technology & Innovation (T&I) team during the Configuration stage and across the project lifecycle. Participates in planning and coordination meetings involving the development and implementation of technology projects in partnership with the Division of Technology Services (DTS). Acts as the product management layer and primary communication conduit between business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), organizational leaders, and DTS Project Managers.

Gathers and analyzes report information for management planning, tracks development sprint progress, and monitors ongoing project activity to ensure successful handoffs through product review, training, and continuous improvement stages.

Qualifications
  • Serves as the ultimate business-technical conduit, acting as the primary link between business SMEs, process owners, leadership, and the DTS Project Manager.
  • Gathers data, prepares reports, and summarizes information by routing requirements, clarifications, and answers from the business side back to the development team to keep projects moving.
  • Develops criteria for evaluating the technical build against the original success criteria defined during Stage 1 (Discovery).
  • Develops and maintains automated or manual records in Jira to track sprint progress and ensure effective records storage and retrieval of project information.
  • Prepares and/or processes the "Review Ready Package" (UAT-ready documentation); reviews documents for accuracy and completeness; logs known issues, and evaluates builds against project scope.
  • Participates in architecture review sessions and facilitates security review coordination with the DTS IT Director.
  • Resolves the more sensitive compliance or project bottleneck issues by knowing who to contact to gather the correct information quickly.
  • Schedule, Organize, and Lead meetings for project kickoff, information gathering, and other needs that arise.
Typical Qualifications
  • The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences, acting as a resourceful navigator between business and technical teams.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand, keeping divisions informed with predictable timelines and status updates.
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong (e.g., identifying scope creep or development blockers). It does not involve solving the technical problem directly, only recognizing there is a problem and routing it to the right team.
  • Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific set of rules (e.g., managing the sequential cross-stage lifecycle handoffs).
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar or preparing formal reports and handoff documentation.
  • Preferred:
Clifton Strengths in the Executing or Strategic Thinking domains (such as Achiever, Strategic, Belief, Ideation, Arranger, or Competition) that naturally align with keeping delivery sharp and on track.
Other Necessary Requirements
  • Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
  • Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
