The Department of Transportation is recruiting for a Management Analyst 1 within the Equipment Division's team in Sparks, Nevada. The incumbent is responsible to ensure accuracy of the Asset Works Fleet Focus M5 (M5) database and verifies proper functionality of all interface programs, including the OPW database. Exports fuel data and maintains the integrity of both the Fuel system and all related M5 data.
Creates, maintains, and distributes weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual M5 reports; analyzes data for trends, accuracy, and erroneous entries. Performs daily data entry for Auxiliary Tank information, runs fuel reports to identify errors, and updates records accurately. Enters CFN card transactions, transfer forms, new vehicle purchase orders, data sheets, key lock forms, auxiliary forms, and new employee records into the M5 database.
Prepares and submits statewide Fixed and Fleet Asset inventory in compliance with Transportation Policy (TP) and NRS regulations; monitors and tracks inventory submissions. Processes, monitors, and tracks all Property Disposition Requests (PDRs) and disposals through all stages, including M5 processing, State Purchasing Inventory, State Purchasing Auctions, and Risk Management Insurance.

Management Analysts conduct studies, research, and examination of management and administrative areas such as agency operations, forms, policies and procedures, workflow, legislative analysis, management research, and statistical and informational analysis.
One or more years of applicable experience as described in the job duties and graduation from high school or equivalent education.
* Conduct research and analyze legislative implications.
* Determine software application program needs or requirements.
* Review and monitor contracts.
* Make recommendations on policy and procedure improvements.
* Provide recommendations to management regarding programs and/or work unit activities.
* Prepare reports and correspondence.
* Perform related duties as assigned.
Knowledge of:
* Research and analysis techniques and methodologies; management and administration concepts, principles, and practices; evaluating, developing, and recommending administrative and/or operational policies and procedures.
Skill in:
* Interpersonal and communication, both verbal and written.
* Use and operation of office and job-related equipment and software.
Ability to:
* Compose business correspondence and reports; analyze information, problems, or practices to identify relevant concerns, identify patterns, tendencies, and relationships, and formulate logical conclusions.
