Overview of Function:L.E.K. Consulting is seeking a motivated IT Intern to support project-based initiatives within our Global IT organization. This internshipprovideshands‑on experience through clearly defined, outcome‑orientedprojectsthat contribute to strategic IT priorities, rather than purely operational support. Depending on business needs and the intern’s interests, projects may include hardware lifecycle and provisioning improvements, workflow automation,enterprise systems (e.g., Workday),IT finance and budgeting,process documentation,ordata andAI initiatives.
Responsibilities:- Assist with a key project that furthers an IT objective. Example projects are as follows:
- Assess and document existing IT processes,identifying opportunities for efficiency, automation,reporting improvements, or standardization
- Support the redesign and improvement of hardware provisioning and endpoint setup workflows
- Assist with the development or enhancement of automated IT workflows using scripting or low‑code tools
- Contribute to small‑scale AI or data‑driven proof‑of‑concept initiatives aligned to internal productivity or service improvements
- Participate in IT operational initiatives,including IT finance, budget tracking, and administrative process improvements that support technologyservice delivery
- Engage in enterprise application support efforts, including ticket triage, system testing, documentation updates, and process improvements for platforms such as Workday
- Produce clear documentation, recommendations, and handover materials to enable long‑term adoption of delivered solutions
- Collaborate with IT team members and stakeholders to define requirements, track progress, and deliver agreed outcomes
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering,Mathematics,Financeor a related field
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems
- Ability to work independently on defined projects while collaborating effectively with a broader team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High levelof attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate, organized work and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, Power Shell, Microsoft Power Automate)
- Familiarity with IT service workflows,enterprise applications,endpoint management concepts, or operational process improvement
- Exposure to AI, data analysis, or applied analytics through coursework or project experience
- The expectedhourlyrange for this position is $18-20per hour. Actual compensation will bedeterminedbased on experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
- This role is based inour Boston officeand follows our hybrid work model for U.S. offices.
