Job Description

The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA), Division of Administrative Services (DAS), IT Section is recruiting for an IT Client Support Specialist 2!

This position is in the General Government (GGU) bargaining unit at a range 16. This position is open to Alaska Residents only. Please check our Definition FAQ to determine if you qualify.

Notice of Work Site:
Please note, this position requires full‑time on‑site work at Joint Base Elmendorf‑Richardson to facilitate collaboration with various divisions supported by DAS' IT Section. Remote work may be permitted up to two days a week, subject to the hiring manager’s approval, and successful completion of probation.

Who We Are Looking For:

As a member of the IT team at DMVA's DAS division, your responsibilities include delivering comprehensive end‑user and desktop support, managing network services for both local and remote users, and assisting with the planning, setup, configuration, and maintenance of servers, networks, microcomputers, printers, and telecom equipment. You will work under the supervision of the Microcomputer/Network Specialist, ensuring seamless operation and support of IT systems vital to the department’s mission.
