Requirements Must have:

  • We need 2.5+ years of professional experience in IT services or a related technical setting, ideally in a field or hospital-based healthcare environment.
  • Experience with patient monitoring, telemetry units, ventilators, and defibrillators is highly preferred.
  • We value a solid grasp of IT systems, networking fundamentals, and technical troubleshooting.
  • A networking certification such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or an equivalent or higher credential is preferred; CCNA is encouraged for career growth.
  • We require an associate degree in computer science, biomedical, engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent mix of education and experience; a bachelors degree is preferred.
  • We need the ability to meet the physical, cognitive, and environmental demands of a field service role with or without accommodation.
  • We require approximately 75% business travel across the assigned geography, including daily driving and occasional overnight, air, or train travel.
  • We need comfort working in office, home office, remote, and hospital or healthcare environments while following vendor credentialing requirements.
  • We require flexibility to work non-standard hours, overtime, weekends, and on-call rotations as needed.
  • We require adherence to all necessary personal protective equipment requirements.
  • We are seeking someone with strong organization, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, plus a disciplined, process-driven mindset and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • US work authorization is required, and we cannot consider candidates who need visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Candidates must live in or within commuting distance of Alexandria or Fairfax, VA, as relocation support is not provided.
Responsibilities:
  • We provide onsite and remote technical support to resolve customer issues quickly and reduce disruption to clinical and operational workflows.
  • We diagnose and fix system, network, and application problems using structured troubleshooting methods.
  • We support the full lifecycle of patient monitoring and IT infrastructure solutions, including installation, configuration, integration, and testing.
  • We assess customer environments and requirements to help ensure systems are implemented effectively and optimized for long-term performance.
  • We use approved tools, test equipment, and diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot technical challenges and deliver durable fixes.
  • We investigate root causes and implement solutions that strengthen system stability and help prevent repeat issues.
  • We maintain accurate documentation covering system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and support procedures.
  • We follow configuration management and version control practices to support consistency, knowledge sharing, and scalable service delivery.
  • We partner with senior engineers, clinical stakeholders, sales, and service teams to achieve high-quality outcomes.
  • We continue developing our technical expertise and contribute to knowledge-sharing and service improvement initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction.
