Cloud Solution Architect

Description

The Solution Architect is the solution design authority responsible for defining, governing, and assuring solutions across the Oracle and non-Oracle Cloud ecosystem. This role provides strategic design leadership across multiple programs, business groups, and technologies, ensuring alignment between business strategy, cloud platform capabilities, and long-term architectural goals.

Key responsibilities include:

Own the overall solution design for cloud applications across teams and systems

Define current, transition, and future-state architectures aligned with business objectives

Establish and maintain architecture standards, governance, design principles, and reusable patterns

Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, supportable, and cost-effective

Lead enterprise integration strategy, API architecture, and data ownership models

Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements

Partner with business leaders and technology stakeholders to align technology investments with business needs

Communicate complex technical concepts to executive and business audiences

Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to deliver effective enterprise solutions

Mentor architects and promote architecture best practices

Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements

This is a true Solution Architect role focused on enterprise architecture, solution governance, integration strategy, and business alignment rather than technical leadership or hands-on development.

SAP & Workday Integration Architecture:

- Experience designing enterprise integrations between Oracle Fusion and SAP, Workday, payroll, manufacturing, HR, and financial systems.

Enterprise Reporting & Data Architecture:

- Defined reporting strategies, analytics architectures, data ownership models, master data management, and enterprise data governance frameworks.

Security, Compliance & Risk Architecture:

- Designed solutions supporting SOX, audit, regulatory compliance, identity management, role-based security, and segregation of duties controls.

Architecture Mentorship & Organizational Leadership:

- Mentored architects, led architecture communities of practice, conducted design reviews, and promoted enterprise architecture best practices.

Technology Evaluation & Modernization Strategy:

- Assessed emerging technologies, developed business cases and roadmaps, and provided recommendations for cloud, integration, automation, and enterprise platform modernization initiatives.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $100.00/hr.
