Sr. EMR Project Manager
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to support hospital and health system implementations. This role is responsible for managing projects from kickoff through go-live and post-production support. The Project Manager will serve as the primary liaison between clients and internal implementation teams, managing approximately 15-18 concurrent projects, including new implementations, enhancements, and client expansions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own projects from kickoff through the post-go-live stabilization period.
- Coordinate communication and activities between clients and internal delivery teams.
- Lead status meetings, manage project governance, and ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project plans, dashboards, status reports, and other documentation.
- Drive timelines, milestones, issue resolution, and stakeholder engagement.
- Manage, prioritize, and escalate tasks associated with complex health system and client interface project implementations.
- Contribute to reducing project implementation turnaround time.
- Mentor other project managers and collaborate with internal teams to refine processes and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 7-10+ years of project management experience, preferably in the Healthcare IT environment.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale software implementation projects.
- Ability to effectively communicate with executive stakeholders, including CIOs, COOs, and senior leadership.
- Strong skills in facilitation, organization, risk management, and stakeholder management.
- Experience in all phases of interface implementation:
Workflow Connectivity, Build, Test, Validation, and Post-Live Support. - Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including Microsoft Project.
- B.S. Degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare industry experience, specifically with EMR/LIS implementations.
- Experience with Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Sunquest, or other healthcare systems.
- Background managing enterprise-level implementations with multiple stakeholders.
- PMP Certification.
This is a remote position with the expectation of working Eastern Time hours. The role supports health systems across the United States and does not involve direct people management responsibilities.
