Duties
- Serve a contract assignment under Info Tech's headcount, full-time second to serve the C&ED;
The candidate is responsible for supporting Document Management System, Windows Active Directory Service and C&ED's Customs Portal. He/She needs to provide system support on servers with virtualization technology, system support on Windows Active Directory service and maintenance support on the web-based document management software. He/She needs to carry out equipment health check, monitoring, incident management, vendor management and problem analysis. In addition, the candidate is required to work outside the office hours and provide on-call production support.
He/She is also required to work at C&ED remote offices scattered over the territory such as airport and control points in some occasions when necessary. He/she needs to perform any tasks assigned by supervisor.

Requirements- Technical knowledge and solid working experience in the management of virtualized servers, and tape libraries from various brands and models.
- Working experience in Linux system administration, including the management of docker container, patch upgrade, health check and other relevant service components.
- Working experience in Microsoft Active Directory administration in Windows Server 2016 / 2019 domain level, including the management of domain controller, domain name system, dynamic host configuration protocol service, file and print service and other relevant service components.
- Candidates with comprehensive knowledge in LDAP, XML, J2EE, HTML, HTTP and Unix/Linux scripting are in advantage.
- Experience in server monitoring.
- Priority will be given to candidates with working experience in the HKSAR Government.
Skills:
- At least 3 years' experience in Server Virtualisation Technology (SVT);
- At least 2 years' experience in Linux System Administration (LIN);
- At least 2 years' experience in Microsoft Active Directory Administration (ADA);
- At least 2 years' experience in Document Management System (DMS);
- At least 2 years' experience in Windows Server 2008/2012 (W12);
- At least 1 year's experience in Departmental Portal (DPS);
- At least 1 year's experience in LDAP Application Programming (LDA);
- At least 1 year's experience in MySQL (MSQ);
- At least 1 year's experience in Novell eDirectory Administration (NDA);
- 2 years' experience in Unix/Linux Shell Scripting (ULS) is an advantage;
- 2 years' experience in Data/File Backup Technology (DFT) is an advantage;
- 2 years' experience in Web Services (WSV) is an advantage.
Skills:
- At least 2 years' experience in work with the Government (GOV);
- Good spoken English is an advantage;
- Good written English is an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
- At least 4 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
