Title:

Senior Consultant – Treasury System Implementation & Connectivity

This role is designed for a treasury professional who has hands‑on experience with Treasury Management System (TMS) implementations and wants to deepen their technical skills and develop into a specialist in bank connectivity and payment integration.

You’ll contribute to TMS implementation work streams across requirements, configuration, testing, data and payment flows, bank account and cash management processes, and go‑live support. Over time, you’ll build capability in connectivity technologies and become a key resource for designing, implementing, testing and troubleshooting connections between treasury systems, banks and payment networks.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Consultant to support client engagements focused on Treasury Management System implementations, with particular emphasis on Cash & Bank Management and Payments. The ideal candidate understands treasury processes and has implementation experience with a TMS. You do not need to be a connectivity expert on day one; we are looking for someone with the right treasury systems foundation, curiosity and technical aptitude to learn connectivity and grow into a specialist resource.

You will work closely with client treasury, technology, banking and payment teams to translate business requirements into practical system solutions, support implementation and testing, and progressively take ownership of connectivity‑related activities.

This role provides a clear development path from treasury systems implementation into technical treasury connectivity. You will receive opportunities to build expertise in bank integrations, payment connectivity, file formats, APIs and troubleshooting while working alongside experienced consultants and technical resources.

Required Skills
  • 3–7 years of consulting or relevant industry experience in corporate treasury, treasury technology or TMS implementation.
  • Hands‑on experience supporting Treasury Management System implementations, upgrades or rollouts using platforms such as Kyriba, GTreasury, IT2, Reval, FIS Quantum/Integrity, SAP or similar treasury platforms.
  • Strong functional experience in Cash Management and Cash & Bank Management, including bank account structures, cash positioning, bank statements, reconciliation and cash visibility.
  • Practical experience with Payments, including payment initiation, payment workflows, approvals, payment files, settlement processes and payment controls.
  • Experience gathering requirements, mapping business processes, configuring or supporting TMS functionality, executing test cases and supporting defect resolution and go‑live activities.
  • Understanding of bank integration and payment flows, with a strong interest in developing deeper expertise in connectivity.
  • Ability to work across treasury, banking, finance and technology stakeholders and translate between business requirements and technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical, process and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client priorities.
Technical & Connectivity Skills
  • Candidates should have a solid technical foundation and the aptitude to develop into a treasury connectivity specialist. Experience in some of the following is preferred:
  • Bank connectivity and integration concepts, including host‑to‑host, SFTP, APIs and bank portals.
  • Payment and bank statement formats such as ISO 20022 XML, SWIFT, BAI2 and MT formats.
  • XML and JSON data structures, file transformation and field mapping.
  • REST/SOAP APIs and basic understanding of authentication, certificates, encryption and secure file transfer.
  • Ability to analyze payment and bank statement files, identify mapping or formatting issues, and support end‑to‑end testing.
  • Experience with connectivity configuration, interface specifications, technical documentation, error handling and troubleshooting is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to scripting or development languages such as C#, Java, VBA or similar is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, lookups, pivot tables and reconciliation techniques.
Desired Skills
  • Experience in development technologies such as C#, C++; SQL (MS SQL Server); XML; VBA, Java
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics

CTP, CFA, or ACT certification is preferred

Top benefits or perks:
  • Benefits:
Health, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • Generous PTO allotment, employer-sponsored retirement plan with discretionary match, bi‑annual performance‑based bonus, training and wellness allowance
  • Fully remote position offering a flexible work schedule
Compensation:

Compensation will be aligned to the UK market and determined based on relevant experience, technical and treasury systems skills, education, certifications and geographic location.
