Four Ways Consulting is seeking a highly experienced Senior Cisco Network Architect to design, architect, and deliver complex enterprise networking solutions for managed-services customers. This strategic role combines deep Cisco technical expertise with customer-facing consulting, solution architecture, licensing strategy, and technical leadership across large-scale network modernization initiatives.
As a Senior Cisco Network Architect, you will lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade networking solutions for a diverse portfolio of managed-services clients. You will work directly with customers to understand business requirements, develop scalable architectures, and create technology roadmaps that align with operational and business objectives. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in Cisco networking technologies, data center infrastructure, security, software-defined networking, cloud connectivity, and network transformation projects.
In addition to architecture and design responsibilities, you will play a critical role in solution quoting, licensing strategy, bill of materials (BOM) development, and customer presentations. This position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise networking strategies while serving as a trusted advisor to both customers and internal stakeholders.
- Architect scalable Cisco enterprise networking solutions for managed-services customers
- Lead technical discovery workshops and customer architecture review sessions
- Design High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs) for complex environments
- Develop detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs), hardware quotations, licensing models, and cost estimates
- Create Cisco Enterprise Agreement and subscription licensing recommendations
- Design and implement LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, security, and data center networking solutions
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering, operations, and support teams
- Support complex troubleshooting, escalation management, and root cause analysis activities
- Respond to customer RFPs (Request for Proposal) and RFQs (Request for Quotation) with technical solution designs
- Deliver customer presentations, technical demonstrations, and executive architecture briefings
- Collaborate with Cisco, distributors, technology partners, and internal business teams
- Guide transition-to-operations processes and ensure operational readiness for deployed solutions
- Drive network modernization, segmentation, resiliency, and high-availability initiatives
- 15+ years of progressive experience in network engineering, network architecture, or enterprise infrastructure design
- 5+ years of experience as a Network Architect or Lead Network Engineer
- Proven experience working within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) or Master Service Provider environment
- Expert-level knowledge of Cisco Catalyst Switching platforms and Cisco Nexus Data Center technologies
- Strong expertise in Cisco Routing and Switching architectures
- Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco SD-WAN solutions
- Advanced knowledge of Cisco Wireless networking technologies
- Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for network access control and security
- Expertise with Cisco Firepower and Cisco Secure Firewall solutions
- Strong experience with Cisco Catalyst Center (formerly Cisco DNA Center)
- Deep understanding of Cisco DNA, software-defined networking, and subscription licensing models
- Strong networking expertise across LAN, WAN, Wireless, Data Center, Cloud Connectivity, and High Availability architectures
