We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join an enterprise Infrastructure & Operations team supporting business-critical applications. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting scalable infrastructure while ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of production environments.
What You’ll Do- * Design, implement, and support scalable Azure infrastructure solutions for enterprise applications.
- * Own the day-to-day operational health of production systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.
- * Participate in a shared on-call rotation supporting infrastructure and application incidents.
- * Implement Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices, including monitoring, automation, alerting, and performance optimization.
- * Proactively identify infrastructure risks, monitoring gaps, capacity concerns, and reliability issues before they impact production.
- * Utilize monitoring and observability tools, including Datadog or similar platforms, to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance issues.
- * Troubleshoot complex issues across networking, compute, storage, cloud infrastructure, and application environments.
- * Partner closely with Database Engineers, Release Engineers, and other infrastructure teams to support deployments and operational improvements.
- * Manage infrastructure work and operational initiatives through Azure Dev Ops or similar work-tracking platforms.
- * Develop automation using Power Shell, Python, or similar scripting languages to improve operational efficiency.
- * Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
- * Research emerging technologies and recommend improvements that enhance reliability, scalability, and overall system performance.
- * 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related production support role.
- * Hands-on experience supporting Azure cloud infrastructure.
- * Experience owning production environments, including operational support and incident response.
- * Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog.
- * Experience using Azure Dev Ops or similar CI/CD and work management platforms.
- * Strong troubleshooting skills across networking, servers, storage, cloud infrastructure, and application environments.
- * Experience developing automation with Power Shell, Python, or similar scripting languages.
- * Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- * Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple technical teams.
- * Willingness to participate in a shared on-call rotation.
- * Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
- * Experience with caching or in-memory data platforms.
- * Experience with workload automation or enterprise job scheduling tools.
- * Background supporting enterprise or regulated environments such as financial services, insurance, or healthcare.
