Service Desk Analyst
Overview
We are seeking a customer-focused Service Desk Analyst to join a growing IT support team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting technical issues, helping end users, and building a long-term career in IT support.
The Service Desk Analyst will provide Level 1 technical support for a wide range of hardware, software, and business applications while delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting users through phone, email, and ticketing systems.
This is a long-term opportunity with potential for future permanent placement based on business needs and performance.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time schedule
- Typical hours are either 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Hybrid work environment with a preference for candidates who can work onsite several days per week
- Strong consideration will be given to highly qualified candidates with proven remote support experience
End User Support
- Provide Level 1 technical support through phone, email, and ticketing systems.
- Respond to incoming support requests and troubleshoot hardware, software, and application-related issues.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications and collaboration tools.
- Manage and resolve support tickets while meeting service level expectations.
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate support teams when necessary.
- Install, configure, and support desktop and laptop hardware.
- Load, deploy, and troubleshoot software applications.
- Assist with workstation setup and hardware replacements.
- Perform basic hardware and software diagnostics.
- Support users with login, access, and application-related issues.
- Assist with device provisioning and deployment activities.
- Maintain accurate hardware and asset inventory records.
- Update tracking databases and documentation as required.
- Support onboarding and offboarding technology processes.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to employees across all levels of the organization.
- Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Prioritize multiple requests and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve issues and improve support processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- 2-5 years of Help Desk, Service Desk, or Technical Support experience.
- Experience troubleshooting Windows hardware and software issues.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications.
- Experience working with ticketing systems such as Service Now or similar platforms.
- Understanding of Active Directory user administration.
- Strong phone-based and customer-facing support experience.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage a high volume of support requests.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
One of the following certifications is required:
- CompTIA A+
- Google IT Support Professional Certificate
This is a Contract position based out of Appleton, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $42.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
