Position: Macroeconomic Modeling Specialist (EViews)

Type: Contract

Compensation: $35 - $100/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week

Role Responsibilities

• Design and implement sophisticated time-series models such as VAR, VECM, ARIMA, and cointegration frameworks using EViews.
• Conduct rigorous model diagnostics and validation to ensure robustness and reliability of forecasts.
• Automate forecasting workflows for efficiency and scalability within the modeling process.
• Translate complex statistical outputs into clear, actionable macroeconomic insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Document modeling approaches and results with precise, concise written reports.
• Collaborate with the customer's team to integrate modeling results into broader economic narratives and policy recommendations.

Requirements:

• Have extensive hands-on experience with EViews, including scripting and automation functionalities.
• Demonstrate proven expertise in building, estimating, and validating time-series models, especially VAR, VECM, ARIMA, and cointegration models.
• Possess deep knowledge of model diagnostics, stability tests, and forecasting accuracy measures.
• Have a strong quantitative background with the ability to explain complex modeling processes in clear written and verbal communication.
• Have demonstrated success in automating modeling and forecasting workflows.
