Quality Assurance Analyst - Washington, DC (Remote)
Duration: 12 months
Seeking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to support software quality assurance, requirements analysis, manual and automated testing, API testing, customer acceptance testing, and production validation activities. Collaborate closely with business and technical teams to ensure applications meet functional requirements and established quality standards.
- Elicit, analyze, and document business processes, business requirements, and functional requirements.
- Develop and maintain Software Requirements Specification (SRS) documents.
- Review Technical Requirement Documents (TRD) and translate requirements into test scenarios and test cases.
- Create, execute, and maintain manual and automated test scripts.
- Perform Customer Acceptance Testing (CAT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Conduct production validation through smoke, functional, and regression testing.
- Perform API testing using Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools.
- Validate requests, responses, status codes, payloads, and application integrations.
- Test and validate data files and formats, including CSV, XML, and JSON.
- Perform data validation against relational databases.
- Document testing results, defects, execution evidence, and supporting test artifacts.
- Develop and maintain Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM) and TLSC documentation.
- Manage and maintain technical specifications, testing guides, and supporting documentation.
- Develop automated test scripts using appropriate automation tools.
- Support software test management activities in Agile and/or Waterfall environments.
- Develop performance metrics to track and report CAT status and testing progress.
- Develop training materials, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and user guides for impacted applications.
- Participate in technical meetings, industry forums, work groups, task groups, and user groups as required.
- Support continuous improvement of QA processes and automation practices.
- 5–7 years of experience in technology, software testing, quality assurance, or software development preferred.
- Experience eliciting and documenting business processes and requirements.
- Experience developing and executing manual and automated test scripts.
- Experience performing CAT and/or UAT.
- Experience performing functional, regression, and smoke testing.
- Experience with production validation and test artifact documentation.
- Experience with API testing using Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools.
- Experience working with CSV, XML, JSON, and relational databases.
- Experience using software test automation tools.
- Experience with software test management using Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience with Microsoft O365 tools, including Excel, Word, Project, Visio, Access, and Workflow.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
