Duties and Responsibilities:

Net App Storage

· Design, implement, and manage storage and server infrastructure.

· Configure and maintain Net App storage systems and HP servers.

· Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliability and security.

· Collaborate with other IT teams to support and optimize storage and server services.

· Ensure data integrity and availability through proper configuration and maintenance.

· Participate in infrastructure design and ongoing maintenance.

· Develop and maintain system documentation and diagrams.

· Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other team members.

Veritas Net Backup

· Lead the upgrade process from Veritas Net Backup version 8.3 to version 10.3.

· Ensure minimal downtime and seamless transition during the upgrade process.

· Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure the NBU environment operates smoothly.

· Manage and monitor the day-to-day operations of the NBU environment.

· Perform routine backups, restores, and disaster recovery drills.

· Ensure data integrity, security, and availability through proactive monitoring and management.

· Work closely with other IT teams to ensure cohesive operations and integration of backup solutions.

· Provide support and guidance to internal stakeholders regarding NBU and related technologies.

· Stay informed about the latest developments and best practices in Veritas Net Backup and related technologies.

· While experience with Veritas Info Scale is not required, awareness of its role in the de-clustering project within the organization is beneficial.

· Assist in other backup and recovery projects as needed.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field

Qualifications

· Minimum of 5 years’ overall customer facing experience ideally providing enterprise-level technical support and advanced troubleshooting methodologies on Veritas Net Backup and Appliances or other BUR tools.

· Extensive experience with Veritas Net Backup, specifically with versions 8.3 and 10.3.

· Proven track record of performing NBU upgrades and managing NBU environments.

· Expert level knowledge in Veritas Net Backup Appliances (ideally Flex Appliances) required.

· Strong understanding of backup and recovery principles, practices, and technologies.

· Scripting knowledge for automating tasks

· Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

· A strongly self-motivated person with the ability to work remotely with minimal supervision is a must.

· Due to frequent customer meetings, technical TOI’s, technical and political escalations, etc., exceptional verbal and written communications skills and being well organized are required.

· Exceptional presentation and a proactive customer service mentality is a must.

Preferred Experience not required:

· Experience with Veritas Info Scale is a plus.

· Experience/Knowledge with Veritas NBU Cloudscale is a plus

· Experience with Veritas Flex Scale experience highly desired but not required

· Preferred Certifications such as Veritas Certified Professional (VCP), MCSE, VCAP, RHCE, and Any cloud certs ( Azure), etc. are a definite plus.

· Familiarity with cloud-based backup solutions and architectures.
