Clearance requirement: TS/SCI w/Full Scope Polygraph
Full-time on-site position at a customer location in the Columbia/Ft. Meade area. This is not a remote position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations and maintenance of a data center network
- Deep understanding of routing and switching technologies commonly implemented in data center networks including EVPN, Multicast, OSPF, BGP, RSVP, LDP, Pseudo wires, L2
VPN, L3
VPN, MPLS Traffic Engineering (TE), Routing Policies, and associated tunneling technologies (GRE, VXLAN, etc.). - Juniper products to be supported: QFX, MX, EX, SRX
- Experience with Juniper products a plus, but not a requirement
Ideal Strengths:
- Motivation, a self-starter that can take direction but also identify and engage in areas to improve network design and operation
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to prioritize work activity to achieve customer and account team goals
- Ability to effectively work under pressure with customer engineers and JTAC to resolve hardware and software issues and implement solutions
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot equipment and network problems & to open/track JTAC cases through to problem resolution
- Ability to effectively communicate case status updates and deliver root cause analysis
- Support informal and formal technology briefings and training sessions
Desired
Qualifications:
- Engineering Design/Architecture, Operational, and Support experience in a medium to large scale data center network
- Juniper and/or other vendor certifications a strong plus
- Automation and Dev Ops knowledge a plus
- Automation access methods: XML API, NETCONF, REST API, gRPC
- Python tools: RPCs, REST, PyEZ, ncclient
- Ansible:
Playbooks and Jinja2 templates - Automation scripts:
Commit, Op, Event, or SNMP scripts;
Python and SLAX
