This role ensures highly available, secure, scalable connectivity across hybrid cloud and enterprise environments. The Cloud Network Engineer partners with Infrastructure, Cloud, Information Security, Application Development, End User Support, Facilities, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable networking solutions and advance cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience designing hybrid cloud networks, troubleshooting complex enterprise environments, and implementing modern networking solutions through automation and Infrastructure as Code.

Compensation: $95,000 to $115,000
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and support Microsoft Azure networking solutions, including hub-and-spoke architectures, virtual networks, network security groups, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, Express Route, Private Link, Azure DNS, load balancing, and virtual network peering.
- Design, implement, and support AWS networking solutions, including Virtual Private Clouds, Security Groups, Network ACLs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, site-to-site VPN, Elastic Load Balancing, Route 53, and associated routing services.
- Develop secure, scalable, resilient, and highly available hybrid connectivity among Azure, AWS, corporate offices, remote users, and on-premises data centers.
- Configure, administer, and support enterprise networking technologies, including Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switching, Cisco Meraki, enterprise routing platforms, wireless infrastructure, VPN technologies, load balancers, LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN environments.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise firewalls, including Palo Alto, Cisco Secure Firewall, Fortinet, or comparable platforms.
- Monitor network availability, health, performance, capacity, and utilization, and proactively identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot complex issues involving routing, switching, latency, packet loss, VPN connectivity, DNS, application access, firewall policies, and cloud connectivity.
- Partner with Information Security to implement Zero Trust networking principles, network segmentation, secure remote access, firewall policies, and cloud security controls.
- Design network solutions that support high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity requirements.
- Automate network provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks using Infrastructure as Code, scripting, configuration management tools, and REST APIs.
- Develop and maintain automation solutions using technologies such as Terraform, Azure Bicep, ARM templates, AWS Cloud Formation, Power Shell, Python, and Ansible.
- Establish standardized, repeatable deployment and configuration processes across cloud and on-premises network environments.
- Lead or participate in cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades, office deployments, disaster recovery testing, and enterprise modernization initiatives.
- Coordinate with cloud providers, internet service providers, data center vendors, and third-party technology partners to implement services and resolve infrastructure issues.
- Support office openings, relocations, structured cabling, wireless deployments, internet circuits, physical security systems, and related infrastructure projects.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior IT staff while serving as a subject matter expert for enterprise networking technologies.
- Maintain network diagrams, IP address management records, configuration documentation, standards, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Participate in architecture reviews, change management, scheduled maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in an on-call rotation supporting critical production incidents and planned maintenance activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure, including cloud and hybrid networking environments.
- Active Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
