Network Engineer
We're seeking a skilled NOC Engineer to join our Network Operations team and ensure the reliability and performance of our clients' critical network infrastructure. You'll be responsible for 24/7 monitoring, incident response, and proactive maintenance of enterprise networks spanning multiple locations and cloud environments.
In this role, you'll work with cutting-edge monitoring tools and technologies while collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain optimal network performance and quickly resolve any issues that arise.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor network infrastructure 24/7 using SNMP, Net Flow, and other monitoring tools
- Respond to and troubleshoot network incidents and alerts
- Perform network device configuration and maintenance (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Create and maintain network documentation and runbooks
- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or vendors as needed
- Conduct proactive network performance analysis and optimization
- Coordinate with vendors for circuit issues and hardware replacements
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support
- 3+ years of experience in NOC, network administration, or related role
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and switching
- Experience with network monitoring tools (Solar Winds, PRTG, Nagios, Zabbix)
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar network equipment
- Knowledge of firewalls and security appliances (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet)
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- CCNP or higher Cisco certification
- Experience with SD-WAN technologies
- Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Python scripting)
- Experience with ITIL practices and ticketing systems
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
