Journeyman Dev Sec Ops Engineer

PRISM is seeking a Journeyman Dev Sec Ops Engineer.
You will join a platform engineering team that owns and operates the Kubernetes clusters running on OCI, as well as the developer tooling that supports DMDC and its 200+ applications. We provide CI/CD pipeline infrastructure, support application deployments, and host tooling for the broader DMDC user base (Git Lab, Jenkins, Nexus, and Rancher / RKE2, Sonar Qube, etc.) while continuously strengthening the organization's Dev Sec Ops practices and high availability.
On the team you will split your time between operational ownership of the current platform (incident response, service requests, reliability improvements, and cloud migration support) and engineering work that uses these operational insights to automate, standardize, and scale delivery. This is a remote position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The management and execution of the ITSM queue supporting incidents, requests, and changes at a Tier 3 level with a 4-6 people operations team. Coordinate cross-functionally with teams including application teams, migration, observability, defense ops, and incident response.
- Build automated Git Lab CI/CD pipelines to deploy and test new versions for a host of supported tools and application base images.
- Identify, scope, and implement infrastructure changes and automations though agile sprints that need to be made to increase platform stability.
- Identify gaps in operations documentation and work with engineers on the team to build useful guides.
- Implement new enhancements and automations to support best practice Dev Sec Ops processes and cloud infrastructure.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS/EDUCATION):
- Secret security clearance.
- A Security+ certification (can be taken while onboarding).
- Direct experience with Git Lab CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and pipeline automation
- An understanding of cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, and Dev Sec Ops principles for development communities.
- Familiarity with the ELK Stack or other comparable monitoring tools
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Git Lab / Git Lab Runners, Nexus, Cloud managed services, AI dev assist capabilities, and Rancher/RKE
2. - Familiarity with Service Now and Jira.
- Familiarity with other tools such as Sonar Qube, Fortify, Test Rail, ArgoCD, and Renovate.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Cloud certifications form AWS, Azure, or OCI
- Basic scripting and automation skills
