Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Level 3 Tester within our teamNYS Integrated Eligibility Systems located in Albany, NY (hybrid). This position is a 31 month contract. The mission of the Integrated Eligibility System (IES) is to enhance the well-being of New Yorkers by transforming health and human service delivery through coordinated business practices, modernized technology, and strategic partnerships.
IES will provide eligibility, enrollment, case management, and payment functionality for Health and Human Service programs currently served by the Welfare Management System, Benefits Issuance Control System and other State systems. IES will build on the successful opening of the New York State of Health (NYSoH) by leveraging assets created for the health benefit exchange to modernize the eligibility system for health and human service programs.
We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Tester to plan, manage, and execute testing across multiple high-profile projects with complex functional domains. This role covers the full testing lifecycle: test planning, test case development, test automation, defect management, and reporting of test metrics to stakeholders and senior management.
Key Responsibilities Under direction of QA lead, develop testing products including test plans, test cases, automated test scripts, and defect reporting documentation. Manage testing across multiple projects within a matrix organization, covering complex functional domains. Build and maintain automated test solutions using tools such as Selenium with .net or related programming languages. Manage the defect lifecycle, including defect creation, monitoring, status reporting, and retesting of defect fixes using tools such as Jira and HP ALM/Quality Center.
Create reports and dashboards for test metrics and present testing status to stakeholders and senior management. Coordinate and liaise with performance testing and security testing teams. Other duties as assigned.
Consultants may be eligible to telecommute for more than 50% of their work hours, up to and including 100% remote work. Telecommuting arrangements require direct manager approval and are subject to change based on program needs. Consultants approved for 100% remote work must attend monthly in-person meetings at the Albany office and be available for major milestone meetings as needed.
Qualifications- Level III
- More than seven (7) years of experience working on complex projects with 2 or more years in a leadership role as a Tester - More than seven (7) years of work experience in quality assurance, managing testing across multiple high-profile projects with complex functional domains, within a matrix organization.
- More than five (5) years of work experience reporting and presenting to stakeholders and senior management.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of work experience creating reports and dashboards for test metrics using Jira or other tools.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of work experience managing the defect lifecycle, including defect creation, monitoring, status reporting, and retesting of defect fixes.
- At least two (2) years of work experience coordinating and liaising with performance testing teams or security testing teams.
- Two (2) to four (4) years of work experience with Fair Hearings and Mainframe modernization related systems.
- At least seven (7) years of work experience developing testing products, including test plans, test cases, automated test scripts, and defect reporting documentation.
