Role Overview

A Junior Scrum Master supports the adoption and execution of Scrum practices within a development team. This role focuses on learning and applying agile principles while assisting in facilitating Scrum events, tracking team progress, and helping remove basic impediments. Working closely with senior Scrum Masters or agile leaders, this individual helps create a collaborative, transparent environment that enables teams to deliver quality outcomes.

Experience:

Typically 0–2 years of relevant experience in software development, project coordination, or agile environments

NOTE:

This role supports an ITAR-compliant client account with specific security and work authorization requirements:

  • Must be ITAR-compliant and able to provide proof of US citizenship.
  • Must be a legal US Citizen on US Soil. Puerto Rico is not exempt for this account.
  • Applicants must reside in the continental United States.
Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Support and co-facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Track and Escalate Impediments: Identify common blockers and elevate them appropriately to ensure timely resolution.
  • Support Team Focus: Help maintain alignment with sprint goals and reduce minor distractions impacting team productivity.
  • Apply Agile Principles: Demonstrate a foundational understanding of Scrum and agile practices, continuing to build knowledge through hands‑on experience.
  • Promote Transparency: Assist in maintaining visibility into sprint progress, backlog status, and team deliverables.
  • Contribute to Process Improvement: Participate in retrospectives and support the team in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $50,500 - $93,800.
