Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Engineer
Rackner is seeking a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Engineer to support the VDI Engineering and Endpoint Management team. The VDI Engineer will work within a team responsible for the implementation, management, maintenance, security compliance, and documentation of the organization's multi-cloud Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and thin-client endpoint environment.
Responsibilities include managing and maintaining 10
ZiG thin-client environments hosted in AWS, configuring and supporting VDI environments, building and maintaining virtual desktop images, testing VDI performance and compatibility, working with Information System Security Officers to support security compliance, applying and maintaining DISA STIGs, supporting ATO and CTO activities, and developing and maintaining technical documentation.
Qualifications/Experience Preferred include VDI Administration, Endpoint Management, Scripting & Automation, Infrastructure Security, Writing Capabilities, and CompTIA Security+ or a globally recognized equivalent certification.
Preferred Certifications include Microsoft Certified:
Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Sys Ops Administrator, and VMware Certified Professional - Desktop and Mobility (VCP-DTM) or Omnissa Horizon credentials.
