What We’re Looking For:
Iridium is seeking a IT Security (Cloud) Analyst to join our IT Security department. As a Security Analyst, you’ll be responsible for establishing and supporting security standards and solutions for Iridium’s cloud services. Working in this role, you’ll gain valuable experience in securing cloud based solutions for a commercial satellite telecommunication organization. What You’ll Do:
- Analyze cloud security risk and help coordinate remediation timelines with account owners, engineers, and stakeholders
- Help triage and remediate findings from CSPM tooling (AWS Security Hub, Guard Duty) based on severity and business impact
- Monitor and respond to cloud-native security events across multi-account AWS environments
- Partner with Cloud Engineering to ensure security is embedded in CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and deployment workflows
- Use and maintain cloud security runbooks, SOPs, and hardened baseline standards
- Configure and tune security tooling, IAM policies, SCPs, guardrails, and automated compliance checks
- Maintain and utilize scripts and automation for repeatable security operations tasks where appropriate
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field OR equivalent relevant experience in lieu of degree
- 5+ years of experience in an IT Security / Cloud Analyst or similar role
- Solid familiarity with cloud security services in AWS (IAM, VPC, Guard Duty, Security Hub) and Azure
- Prior configuration and administration of CSPM/CNAP tools (Orca, Wiz, Prisma Cloud)
- Troubleshooting skills across cloud infrastructure, network, and application layers
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to confidently present products, deliverables, analyses, and/or issues
- Possess an analytical mindset, with the ability to understand a situation or problem and think critically to make decisions or come up with solutions
- Be comfortable managing upward, including being a proactive communicator and asking for help when needed
- Have confidence and be able to establish valuable relationships with others
- Must be able to prioritize key tasks and have a strong sense of ownership over your work
- Be active in seeking out ways to continuously improve yourself and gain new knowledge
- Cloud / Professional Certifications (AWS Certified Security Specialty, AWS Solutions Architect / Sys Ops)
- Experience with CNAPP
- Exposure to AI/LLM-based security tools or automation workflows
- Be on call
- Be able to work a hybrid schedule that includes at least 60% (3 days per week) of your time in office
- Be able to travel occasionally
