Overview:
The Director of IT, Business Analysis & Project Management, will lead the Business Analysis and Project Management practices and execution of the demand management process. This role is accountable for maturing disciplined project delivery, aligning technology demand to institutional priorities, and ensuring consistent, effective execution across the portfolio.
This position reports to Vice President of Strategic Execution and manages Business Analysts, Project Managers, and related project resources. The role partners closely with IT leadership, functional leaders, Business Intelligence, and vendor partners to support portfolio planning, project execution, reporting, adoption, and continuous improvement.
REQUIREMENTS:- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in project management, business analysis, practice leadership.
- 5+ years of people leadership experience managing project managers, business analysts, or similar professional staff.
- Strong experience with demand management, project lifecycle management, portfolio planning, executive reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives, facilitating prioritization discussions, and communicating effectively with senior leaders.
- Proven ability to improve processes, define operating routines, establish metrics, and drive accountability across teams.
- Experience working in governed environments with attention to risk, compliance, stakeholder communication, and documentation discipline.
- Experience partnering with vendors, systems integrators, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver project outcomes.
- PMP, PMI-PBA, CBAP, Agile, or related certification.
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Higher education experience or experience in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM, Agentforce Education, enterprise systems, portfolio management tools, Power BI, or similar reporting platforms.
- Experience supporting AI, data, digital transformation, or enterprise modernization initiatives.
Compensation is determined based on the qualifications, experience, and circumstances of each hire. It is uncommon for new employees to start near the top of the salary range. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a tuition waiver and reimbursement program, health insurance, paid time off, and a retirement savings plan. The salary range for this position is $124,270 to $168,130.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Project Management Leadership
- Define, mature, and scale IT project management and business analysis standards, including lifecycle checkpoints, templates, reporting routines, and execution expectations across the portfolio.
- Provide direct leadership, coaching, prioritization guidance, and performance management for Business Analysts, Project Managers, and related project resources.
- Partner closely with IT Directors, Solutions Architect, and technical delivery leads to align schedules, balance capacity constraints, remove execution blockers, and ensure smooth handoffs from requirements to implementation.
- Ensure initiatives follow the IT project lifecycle, approval gates, and escalation processes, applying enhanced oversight for large, complex, key priorities or strategic initiatives, including milestone reviews, executive visibility, readiness reviews, and go/no-go checkpoints.
- Oversee project scope, schedules, dependencies, risks, resource constraints, and change readiness to keep initiatives on track and aligned with institutional objectives.
- Establish portfolio management practices that balance strategic priorities, resource capacity, and risk, while tracking portfolio level metrics such as on time delivery, stakeholder satisfaction, process compliance, and ROI realization.
