Job Summary
The Product Specialist (Intermediate) for the DAVE System Admin role is responsible for performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ongoing application data maintenance for the proprietary DAVE software used in vital records management. This position involves testing software releases, documenting issues, liaising between the vendor and internal teams, and supporting product improvements to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
Responsibilities- Conduct User Acceptance Testing for biannual software releases using pre-made test scripts.
- Document test results and successful completions in SharePoint.
- Identify, document, and communicate defects and issues using Jira.
- Analyze functional and technical impacts of product changes and fixes.
- Participate in product design reviews to ensure quality and requirements are met.
- Provide basic product support both onsite and remotely, including answering detailed product questions.
- Set severity levels for identified defects accurately.
- Provide input for training and documentation materials related to product changes.
- Maintain thorough documentation of all work and testing activities for future reference.
- Follow established quality standards and ensure clear communication and status updates.
- Serve as a liaison between the software vendor and internal IT teams.
- Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience with User Acceptance Testing processes.
- Proficiency with ticketing systems, preferably Jira.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic system issues.
- Familiarity with SharePoint for documentation.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Analytical and customer service skills.
- Effective communication skills for status updates and team collaboration.
- Experience working with vital records or government-related software systems.
- Knowledge of system analysis or programming concepts (not mandatory).
- Experience in product design review and impact analysis.
- Work onsite 100% for the first 6 months, then eligible for 2 days remote work per week.
- All required credentials and eVerify documentation must be uploaded before starting and within three days of contract start.
- Full-time position with 40 hours per week.
- Standard business hours assumed unless otherwise specified.
- Position duration:
September 21, 2026 to June 30, 2027.
