The Fountain Group is currently seeking a EPIC Product Manager for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in North Chicago, IL OR REMOTE (based on experience). Details for the position are as follows:
Pay: $85–$96/hr
Duration: 6-month contract initially
Location: North Chicago, IL – Remote may be considered for the right candidate
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM CST
Interview Process: Video conference (Microsoft Teams)
The Sr. Product Manager partners with Customer Care stakeholders and Epic delivery teams to translate business needs into effective, scalable solutions within the Epic EMR.
The primary requirement for this position is hands-on Epic experience, specifically with Cheers/CRM and/or MyChart.
This role leads business requirements gathering, analyzes business problems, and translates requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria
. The Sr. Product Manager also verifies that solutions delivered by development teams meet stakeholder requirements.
The position owns the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for a defined set of Epic-based capabilities, guiding initiatives from intake and prioritization through implementation and delivery.
As a key bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, the Sr. Product Manager applies strong Epic and Agile expertise to assess requests, shape solutions, and drive execution in a complex, cross-functional environment.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with Customer Care stakeholders and Epic delivery teams to translate business needs into scalable Epic solutions.
- Gather and analyze business requirements.
- Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and product requirements
. - Validate development deliverables against stakeholder requirements.
- Own product vision, roadmap, and backlog for assigned Epic capabilities.
- Lead initiatives from intake and prioritization through implementation and delivery.
- Evaluate business requests and help shape effective solutions.
- Serve as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
- Apply Agile and Epic expertise to support product delivery and execution.
- Manage priorities and competing requirements in a complex, cross-functional environment.
- Minimum 3 years of Epic experience.
- Experience with Epic Cheers/CRM and/or My Chart .
- Epic experience may have been gained in a prior analyst or related position, but candidates must have at least 3 years of relevant Epic experience.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Epic certification is expected. A recently expired Epic certification may be acceptable
, provided it has not been expired for several years. - Ability to work independently with minimal hand-holding.
- Product Management experience.
- Knowledge of Scrum and Agile methodologies
. - Experience with Jira and Confluence
. - Experience working with Epic delivery/technical teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
