Location: Indianapolis

The Epic Professional Billing (PB) Certified Build Analyst is responsible for the design, build, optimization, and support of the Epic Professional Billing application across a complex hospital and physician enterprise. This role partners closely with revenue cycle leadership, clinical operations, and IT teams to ensure efficient, compliant, and high-quality billing workflows. The position is fully remote and supports a large, multi-entity health system.

Key Responsibilities

The analyst will design, build, and maintain Epic Professional Billing functionality, including fee schedules, charge routing, claim configuration, edits, and billing workflows. They will collaborate with operational stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective Epic solutions. The role includes troubleshooting and resolving break/fix issues, performing root cause analysis, and supporting optimization initiatives.

The analyst will participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and regulatory updates, including testing, validation, and documentation. They will also support integrations with other Epic applications such as Cadence, Prelude, Resolute Hospital Billing, and Clinical modules as needed. Ongoing responsibilities include end-user support, workflow analysis, and participation in revenue cycle improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Epic Professional Billing (PB) Certification is required.

Experience as an Epic PB analyst within a hospital or large physician group environment.

Strong understanding of professional billing workflows, claims processing, payer rules, and revenue cycle operations.

Experience with Epic build, testing, and support methodologies.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting a large, multi-hospital or multi-specialty health system.

Additional Epic certifications (e.g., Cadence, Prelude, Resolute).

Experience with Epic upgrades, large-scale implementations, or optimization projects.

Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to professional billing.
