A premier, mission-driven healthcare system leading the charge in digital transformation and data-driven clinical excellence is seeking a Senior Data & AI Architect to lead the vision, design, and deployment of its enterprise AI-Ready Data Lakehouse. This high-impact, hands-on role bridges clinical datasets with advanced ML/Generative AI to build scalable, domain-driven data architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Strategy & Architecture: Lead the enterprise data roadmap and implement modern patterns (Medallion, Data Mesh, Data Fabric, Domain-Driven Design).
- Build AI Infrastructure: Architect a modern Lakehouse (supporting structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data) optimized for LLMs, MLOps, and predictive analytics.
- Establish Governance: Define standards for data quality, security, privacy, and compliance across clinical and administrative domains.
- Provide Leadership: Partner with executive leadership and technical teams to treat data as a core enterprise asset.
Requirements
- Experience: 12+ years of hands-on leadership in modern Data Architecture, Data Lake houses, Modeling, Integration, and Governance—with direct experience in a healthcare environment.
- Database & Cloud Stack: 4+ years of deep expertise in Snowflake, SQL, Oracle, and SQL Server, with strong experience in AWS environments.
- Data Pipelines & Engineering: Hands-on proficiency with modern ELT toolsets (e.g., Matillion, dbt Cloud, Python).
- AI/ML Familiarity: Functional understanding of MLOps frameworks, feature engineering pipelines, and preparing data ecosystems for AI/ML workloads.
- Healthcare Data Mastery: Strong ability to translate complex clinical, operational, and administrative datasets into high-value enterprise data products.
- Security & Compliance: In-depth knowledge of healthcare data privacy, encryption standards, HIPAA compliance, and access management.

- Position is remote in the Eastern or Central Time zones with occasional travel to the New York City area
