This role demands a keen sense of product strategy, deep empathy for customer needs, strong leadership qualities, and a proactive approach to execution. Our team is at the cutting edge, actively advancing the field of generative AI with our proprietary AI engine, Seismic Aura, which is reshaping how GTM and enablement teams interact with their customers.

As a Senior Product Manager for AI Search, you will lead the development and enhancement of our search technologies, focusing particularly on advancing our generative search capabilities within our Seismic Aura AI engine. Search and Generative Search are integral, horizontal capabilities at Seismic and are core components of many of our products. You will collaborate extensively with various teams to ensure alignment across different product surfaces, intents, and use cases, meeting diverse discovery needs.

In this pivotal role, you will operate at the intersection of technology and user experience, driving a robust and competitive AI product roadmap. You will stay informed on the latest trends and techniques in AI/ML-driven search, working closely with our data science, engineering, product design, and GTM teams to ensure our search solutions are innovative and aligned with user needs.

* West coast candidates preferred due to global collaboration with engineering team based in China.

• Academic background in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related STEM field.
• 4+ years of proven software Product Management experience.
• 2+ years of experience in information retrieval and search systems.
• 2+ years of experience in the machine learning & data science space, ideally hands-on.
• Experience in Python or related languages for data analytics and machine learning.
• Product taste - you have a demonstrated passion for user experience and for solving customer problems and delivering software that delights users.
• Understand modern machine learning technologies and platforms - you understand what it takes to build & maintain AI systems that work at scale.
• Technical acumen – you can have credible conversations with engineer stakeholders about technical tradeoffs, technologies, scalability, etc.
• Strategic thinker, analytical, detail-oriented, and results-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Motivated self-starter able to translate uncertainty and ambiguity into clear, crisp plans. Ability to develop a strong point of view and collaborate with humility and diplomacy to drive your vision forward.
