This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5

ISR systems.

HII works within our nation’s intelligence and cyber operations communities to defend our interests in cyberspace and anticipate emerging threats. Our capabilities in cybersecurity, network architecture, reverse engineering, software and hardware development uniquely enable us to support sensitive missions for the U.S. military and federal agency partners.

• Design and deploy Enterprise and data center network environments.
• Translate requirements into network solutions, modifications, and support upgrades (network reconfigurations, hardware and software acquisitions, installation, testing).
• Support the planning, development, integration, and transition to operation & maintenance.
• Develop and maintain documentation of network systems, subsystems, and components in the networking portfolio (as-built documentation, capacity planning, etc.).
• Explore, research, investigate, analyze, and assess new technologies to modernize and improve existing network solutions.

• 7+ years of hands‑on experience administering or engineering enterprise networks.
• Demonstrated experience leading the employment of network engineering techniques, methodologies, processes, and practices to design, engineer, implement, test, secure, and deliver a variety of enterprise‑grade IT networking solutions.
• Experience with secure enterprise information systems, circuits, configurations, and protocols and associated security appliances (encryptors, firewalls, etc.).
• Experience with network traffic flow analysis, network management, network topologies, network security, performance, high availability, load balancing, and fault‑tolerant architectures.
• Conduct advanced troubleshooting to quickly identify and resolve degraded entities while maintaining a secure posture.
• Must meet DoD 8140/CSWF for 652-Intermediate or be willing to obtain the appropriate credential within 6 months.
• TS/SCI clearance required with ability to obtain a CI Poly.
• Engineer Network 3: 5 years relevant experience with Bachelor’s in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Master’s in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
• Engineer Network 4: 9 years relevant experience with Bachelor’s in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Master’s in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
