Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to support our client in the insurance and annuities space, focused on building and scaling their analytics engineering function. This individual will lead the design and development of enterprise data models supporting key business areas such as underwriting, claims, and customer experience, while enhancing the overall data infrastructure. Day to day, they will work cross-functionally with business and technical teams to translate complex requirements into scalable data solutions, drive best practices around data modeling and governance, and mentor junior engineers.

This role will also play a key part in advancing self-service analytics capabilities, ensuring high data quality, and enabling data-driven decision making across the organization.

Hourly range $60-75/hjr depending on expereince

• 4–7+ years of analytics engineering / data engineering experience
• Advanced SQL + strong experience with Snowflake and data warehousing (SQL, Coalesce, Snowflake, GCP)
• Proven experience with data modeling and building scalable analytics solutions
• Hands-on experience with modern data tools (Git, Python, Airflow/Dagster, CI/CD)
• Experience leading projects and mentoring junior team members
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data architectures
• Strong communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally with business stakeholders - Must work EST hours
• Thrives in high ambiguity —  here's the problem, come back with a solution
• Self-starter with a clear desire to learn and improve
• Proactive engagement with AI is a strong differentiating signal right now — candidates who can articulate how they're using AI in their work stand out
