Position SummaryThis role provides Dev Ops support and works with a team of four members under the Team Lead. The position is vital to operations success and improving automated solutions using the latest software tools and technologies.
Primary Responsibilities- Script/automate core processes to improve efficiency and platform availability.
- Manage system monitoring and alerting tools such as Splunk, Cloud Watch, SNS, and solve operational issues through engineering automated solutions.
- Work with AWS tools, services, and APIs (Lambda, IAM, EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, VPC, Security Groups, EBS, etc.) to improve daily operations in an integrated Linux environment.
- Administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), build RPM packages, implement Yum repositories, and use agile development tools such as Git, Jira, Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Manage Java and Apache Tomcat services, work with NGINX, OpenVPN, and Wire Shark.
- Computer Science degree (or equivalent) or 8+ years of Dev Ops experience.
- 3+ years in a Systems Engineering/Dev Ops role, ideally in a fast‑growing company.
- 3+ years of Linux system administration experience.
- 3+ years of software development with Terraform and Ansible.
- Strong troubleshooting of Linux systems, networking issues (TCP, UDP, SSL, firewalls, proxies, reverse proxies), and fine‑tuning instrumentation and alerting systems.
- Experience with virtualization/container technologies (Docker, Open Shift, etc.).
- Understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Ability to solve operational issues by engineering automated solutions.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Splunk, Nagios, and Prometheus.
- Familiarity with operations activities such as backups, restores, and access management.
- Familiarity with release and configuration management (Git Hub, Git Lab).
- US Citizenship.
- 2+ years of AWS cloud experience.
- Exceptional networking skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server administration.
- Project management experience.

SalaryThe wage range for this role takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $120-140K.
