Role SummaryThe SEO Strategist supports the execution of M-Files' organic growth, search, and AI optimization strategy by implementing SEO best practices, maintaining, auditing, optimizing website content, and assisting with technical SEO initiatives. Working closely with the VP of Product Marketing, SEO Strategist, Website Manager, and Product Marketing team, this role focuses on improving content discoverability across traditional search engines and AI-powered search experiences.
Key Responsibilities SEO Content & On-Page Optimization (approx. 60–70%)- Implement on-page SEO recommendations, including title tags, meta descriptions, header structure, image alt text, internal linking, and URL optimization
- Optimize existing website pages, blog posts, landing pages, and solution pages for target keywords and search intent
- Publish and maintain SEO-focused content, including pillar pages, competitor comparison pages, and blog content
- Conduct routine content audits to identify optimization opportunities and ensure content aligns with SEO best practices
- Support AI optimization initiatives by implementing structured content, optimizing for Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and maintaining AI visibility assets such as llms.txt
- Monitor website health using SEO tools such as Bright Edge, NPD, Google Search Console and Semrush to identify SEO issues and opportunities
- Identify and resolve basic website issues that impact SEO, including broken links, missing metadata, image issues, and content discrepancies
- Track keyword rankings, organic traffic, and page performance, escalating technical issues to the SEO Strategist or Website Manager as needed
- Perform regular SEO quality assurance checks to ensure new content follows established SEO and AI optimization standards
- Collaborate with digital marketing, and product marketing teams to develop competitive content, FAQs, and messaging that improves click-through rates across website banners, paid search, AI search advertising, and other campaign placements
