** Overview*
* GovCIO is currently hiring for a Junior Cyber Security Engineer / Cyber Security Associate 1. We are looking for a Junior Cyber Security Engineer who will assist in preparing and maintaining ATO documentation.

This position will be fully remote within the United States.

** Responsibilities*
* This role requires attention to detail, an understanding of cyber security principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with federal security standards.

Duties:

+ Assist in the preparation and maintenance of ATO documentation in accordance with federal guidelines.

+ Conduct security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify security requirements and address potential vulnerabilities.

+ Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures.

+ Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.

+ Stay updated with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies.

** Qualifications*
* ** Required

Skills and Experience:

*
* + Bachelors degree and 0-2 years of experieince. (or commensurate experience)

+ A degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is preferred.

+ Basic understanding of cyber security principles and practices.

+ Familiarity with federal security standards and guidelines, including NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP.

+ Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and thorough documentation.

+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

+ Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or similar are a plus.

** Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust Clearnace.

** Preferred

Skills and Experience:

* + Experience in preparing ATO documentation or working within a federal security framework.

+ Familiarity with risk management frameworks and security assessment tools.

+ Knowledge of network security, endpoint security, and cloud security.

** Posted Salary Range*
* USD $75,000.00 - USD $95,000.00 /Yr.
