Linguist; Remote

Position: Linguist (Remote)

Responsibilities and

Required Qualifications:

Provide linguistic expertise to support the development and delivery of data for Large Language Models (LLMs). Collaborate with linguists and data operations teams on data collection, curation, and annotation efforts. Evaluate and curate datasets for Machine Learning models using LLM-based solutions. Assess model performance and overall data quality. Apply prompt engineering techniques to improve model outputs and data quality. Create clear linguistic guidelines that enable annotators to consistently and accurately label language data.

Collaboratively develop complex, consistent, and detailed linguistic analyses.

Experience with regular expression encoding. Strong knowledge of syntax, semantics, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, corpus linguistics, and other areas of linguistics. Proficiency in Python.

Experience with database queries and data analysis using SQL and spreadsheets. Experience working with speech and text data. Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and their applications. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and dynamic environment. Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
