We are currently seeking a Imprivata L4 Engineer / Senior Platform Engineer - Hybrid in Plano, TX to join our team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).
This is a hybrid role based in Plano, Texas
, with regular onsite presence required at the NTT DATA Headquarters for team collaboration, project planning, stakeholder engagement, and key operational activities. The role combines remote work with in-office participation to support effective cross-functional partnership and platform delivery.
The Imprivata L4 Engineer serves as the highest level of technical escalation and subject matter expert for the enterprise Imprivata platform. This role is responsible for platform engineering, authentication services, Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations, virtual desktop infrastructure support, architecture design, upgrades, troubleshooting, vendor management, and continuous service improvement. The engineer will provide advanced technical leadership to ensure the availability, security, performance, and resiliency of enterprise authentication and access management services.
Key Responsibilities Technical Support & Incident Management- Serve as the highest-level escalation point for Imprivata-related issues.
- Troubleshoot complex authentication, SSO, appliance, agent, and integration problems.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions.
- Support major incidents and collaborate with Imprivata Support and Engineering teams.
- Administer and maintain enterprise Imprivata One Sign/EAM environments.
- Manage appliances, agents, policies, enterprise configurations, and platform health.
- Monitor performance, capacity, availability, and resiliency.
- Support high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.
- Design, configure, and support SSO integrations across web, client/server, legacy, and SAML-based applications.
- Manage application onboarding and authentication workflows.
- Integrate Imprivata with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra , and other identity platforms.
- Implement and support authentication solutions including smart cards, proximity cards, biometrics, FIDO keys, OTP, and passwordless authentication.
- Troubleshoot authentication and MFA issues across endpoints and identity infrastructure.
- Support Imprivata deployments within Citrix, VMware Horizon, Azure Virtual Desktop, and shared workstation environments.
- Troubleshoot session management, fast user switching, and virtual authentication issues.
- Lead platform upgrades, patching, and migration activities.
- Develop implementation, testing, and rollback plans.
- Provide architecture guidance, system design reviews, and HLD/LLD documentation.
- Drive problem management, trend analysis, automation, and operational improvements.
- Act as the primary technical liaison with Imprivata Support and Product Engineering.
- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide knowledge transfer to support teams.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting Imprivata One Sign/EAM environments.
- Strong expertise in SSO, authentication, MFA, and identity management technologies.
- Experience integrating with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra .
- Advanced troubleshooting skills involving authentication flows, logs, networking, and Windows environments.
- Experience with Citrix, VMware Horizon, Azure Virtual Desktop, or similar VDI platforms.
- Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, and enterprise platform architecture.
- Experience planning and executing upgrades, migrations, and enterprise deployments.
- Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in healthcare or other highly regulated environments.
- Knowledge of SAML, FIDO, passwordless authentication, and modern identity solutions.
- Power Shell or automation scripting experience.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring and reporting tools.
Familiarity with Zero Trust and security best practices. - Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.
