OunceIT is seeking an experienced, talented and motivated Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing team supporting non-profits, mission-based organizations and independent schools in Massachusetts. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing and maintaining resilient and secure infrastructure, including on-premise and hybrid server environments as well as a variety of network environments.

• Design, deploy and maintain robust server and network infrastructure to support our clients' environments.
• Design, configure and maintain performant and resilient server environments to meet the needs of our clients’ current and future technology operations.
• Configure and optimize network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and VPN solutions to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.
• Design and lead complex infrastructure-related engineering projects including system upgrades, migrations and new deployments.
• Monitor environment performance, troubleshoot latency and bandwidth issues and implement changes to improve stability and throughput.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including detailed equipment and environment diagrams, system engineering plans and technical standards.
• Ensure server and network designs comply with all security policies, supports scalability and aligns with clients’ operational, budget and mission requirements.
• Mentor and guide less experienced technical engineers, providing technical oversight and sharing knowledge.

You are an enthusiastic technology professional with 8+ years of experience keeping client-facing IT environments running with minimal interruption. You’re excited by the unknown, embracing messy situations and moving them to a stable solution. You analyze and design systems - including server, storage, and network environments - from a holistic perspective, not just a technical one. You don’t consider yourself an expert in any one IT sector - you appreciate that all systems are connected, and you leverage that idea to build even better solutions.

You appreciate the simple yet resilient, scalable, maintainable solution just as much as the fancy solution with the newest features.
