Position Summary InformationJob Description Summary
The purpose of this position is to assist the Director of Web Services to provide advanced administration, implementation, and continuous improvement of academic and student success technology platforms. Primary platforms include Coursedog (curriculum management, academic scheduling, course demand, event/room scheduling), and Canvas LMS (infrastructure and analytics). This position focuses on analyzing business processes, improving operational efficiency, aligning systems to support student success outcomes, and performing other college-wide systems analyst duties as assigned.
This position works alongside the Enterprise Systems Analyst to ensure a cohesive enterprise systems strategy.
This position is eligible for remote work in the state of Texas, preferably in the south Texas Region. Remote staff may be required to attend meetings/trainings on campus in Corpus Christi, Texas, possibly once a quarter. Travel and lodging expenses will be provided by Del Mar College for staff required to travel onsite.
Remote work employees must meet these criteria for the remote work location- Adequate desk space in a dedicated, contained area that is secured and protected at all times. Furniture will not be provided by Del Mar College.
- Remote work location is in a quiet environment free of background people and noise during business hours.
- On-camera meetings may be required with staff and/or department leadership, at the discretion of the supervisor.
- Remote staff will be required to maintain an online presence with the Microsoft Teams application during working hours, unless arrangements have been made with the supervisor.
- Computer device, mobile hotspot, and other equipment, software, and resources necessary to perform job duties will be provided.
- Electricity, internet/wi-fi, and other utilities are the responsibility of the employee.
- Mobile/cellular phone may be issued to employees upon request and supervisor approval.
Level I – Grade 516:
Knowledge is acquired through the attainment of a Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of experience OR Associate’s degree and three (3) years of experience.
Level II – Grade 517:
Knowledge is acquired through the attainment of a Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of experience OR Associate’s degree and five (5) years of experience.
Level III – Grade 518:
Knowledge is acquired through the attainment of a Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of experience OR Associate’s degree and seven (7) years of experience.
- Administration of academic and student success platforms (Coursedog, Civitas, or similar)
- Higher education business processes (curriculum lifecycle, scheduling, advising)
- Business process analysis and continuous improvement
- System integrations, APIs, and data flow concepts
- Troubleshooting complex technical and data issues
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects independently
- Experience with ERP / SIS platforms (e.g., Colleague)
- Experience with academic scheduling and curriculum systems
- Experience with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas)
- Knowledge of Ellucian Experience (forms and workflow automation)
- Vendor coordination experience
- Reporting and analytics experience
- Familiarity with accessibility and compliance standards
