System Support Specialist

We are seeking a System Support Specialist who can provide frontline technical support for our software development and business applications, especially the customer management system. This role requires intermediate knowledge and experience with SQL, strong troubleshooting abilities and the ability to maintain a high level of customer service while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Note:

this role supports software development initiatives, not general IT support, networking or infrastructure administration.

The ideal candidate should be able to:

• Manage and resolve roughly 50-60 support tickets per month
• Troubleshoot system, application, and data-related issues using critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Use intermediate SQL to investigate and resolve problems
• Communicate clearly with end users in a customer-focused, non-technical way
• Document issues, resolutions, and remediation steps to support knowledge sharing and process improvement
• Act as the go to subject matter expert (SME) for our Certification Management System (CMS)
• Collaborate with developers to
  ** escalate or resolve
  ** complex issues
• Identify recurring problems and recommend process or system improvements to reduce future incidents

• 2-5 years of experience in application support, system administration, or a related IT role
• Associate degree in database administration or computer science or equivalent Certificate
• Intermediate knowledge and experience with SQL is required, including writing SELECT queries, joins, filters, and basic troubleshooting of data-related issues
• Experience with Oracle Apex and PHP a plus

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, joining a talented creative team in Indianapolis. BCSP is currently following a mostly work from home hybrid schedule with requirements to come to the office on occasion.
