What we are looking for:
As an integral member of our Denver, CO or Dania Beach, FL-based Development Teams, the Software Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting customer-facing systems with a focus on delivering scalable solutions for our fast-growing business.
- Develop code, scripts, extracts, and other artifacts required to solve complex technical issues
- Contribute to design documents and participate in design reviews
- Be proactive and inquisitive in finding solutions
- Work closely with Product, Operations and Finance to help troubleshoot, identify, and solve software issues
- Determine severity and impact of issues on the business and communicate status to Management
- Work both independently and with a group of highly skilled developers
- Be flexible with work hours and schedule; provide on-demand support as needed

- Education:
Bachelors degree in engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field. - Expertise &
Experience:
1-2 years experience with MySQL or other relational database technologies (proficient in SQL) - Python
- PHP
- JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX
- Shell scripting
- Working knowledge of REST principles
- No
SQL DB knowledge is a plus - Network and Linux troubleshooting skills is a plus
- Familiarity with unit tests or testing frameworks a plus
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies or SDL
- Security awareness and secure coding practices
- Understanding of continuous integration (CI) and deployment (CD) practices
- Experience with Git and version control
- Successfully communicate technical issues clearly to individuals with varying levels of technical knowledge and understanding
- Effectively and efficiently solve mission critical technical problems in a fast-paced business environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and documentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with non-technical individuals, including customers
