Overview Data Centre Services (DCS) is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational governance, and control of Deutsche Bank’s global IT hosting portfolio, including data centers, technology rooms, and campus locations. DCS ensures resilient, secure, efficient, and compliant environments that support the Bank’s evolving technology needs, including AI, Private Cloud, FICTECH, and Ultra-Low Latency services. This AVP-level, London-based role provides oversight and coordination across data center white space operations, grey space landlord interfaces, vendor performance, and site governance.
The specialist will help embed the target operating model, improve consistency, and ensure adherence to DCS standards, internal controls, regulatory requirements, and relevant data center principles.

- Provide client-side oversight of day-to-day white space operations and grey space infrastructure interfaces across data centre environments
- Coordinate with landlords, colocation operators, facilities providers, vendors, smart hands teams, and internal service owners to ensure controlled operational execution
- Review planned maintenance, MOPs, risk assessments, access requirements, service impacts, and evidence of completion for shared infrastructure activities
- Conduct site reviews, assess vendor performance, document findings, and support remediation of issues, risks, and non-compliance
- Support the implementation of standardised operational processes, governance routines, auditability, and vendor accountability under the target operating model
- Work with DCS, security, compliance, commercial, project, and local teams to maintain secure, resilient, and well-controlled data centre operations
- Several years of experience in data center operations, IT facilities, infrastructure operations, governance, audit, assurance, or site reviews, ideally within a financial services environment
- Strong knowledge of data center white space operations, including rack and stack activities, structured cabling, patching, cross-connects, hardware deployment, asset management, and IMAC/D processes
- Good understanding of data center infrastructure and grey space dependencies, including power, cooling, UPS, generators, fire protection, environmental monitoring, and building management systems
- Familiarity with DCIM tools, ITIL practices, operational controls, and industry standards related to resilience, availability, security, monitoring, and structured cabling
- Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimize workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs
- Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to produce operational reports, track issues and actions, and work effectively across regional and global teams
