Location: Local WFH - Orange County / Los Angeles

Onsite: Typically only a couple times per month or less

For this opportunity, you'll be joining a long-established Southern California Managed Service Provider supporting legal firms and SMB clients across the region. This is a Microsoft-focused MSP with an extremely stable client base and strong employee retention, including team members who have been with the organization for 10-20+ years.

This is a local work-from-home Level 3 / Systems Engineer position with very limited onsite requirements. You'll serve as the senior escalation resource for complex infrastructure issues while also mentoring L1/L2 technicians and helping improve documentation and processes. This is not a high-pressure "bill every minute" MSP environment - productivity and client satisfaction matter, but the company places a strong emphasis on work-life balance and family time.

What

You'll Be Doing

Serve as the Level 3 escalation point for complex technical issues
Troubleshoot and resolve server, identity, networking, security, cloud, and endpoint issues
Support and troubleshoot Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
Handle AVD user/session issues, image updates, policies, scaling, and application delivery
Support Windows Server and Active Directory environments
Troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPNs and SSL VPNs
Support Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online
Diagnose VMware and virtualization issues
Troubleshoot switching, VLANs, firewalls and network connectivity
Mentor L1/L2 technicians on troubleshooting and escalation practices
Build and maintain runbooks, SOPs and technical documentation
Work alongside senior engineers on infrastructure and cloud initiatives
Communicate directly with clients and own issues through resolution

Technical Background

3-5+ years of MSP experience
Windows Server
Active Directory
DNS / DHCP
Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online
RDP
TCP/IP
VPN / SSL VPN
VMware vSphere
L2/L3 networking
VLANs
Sonic Wall firewalls
Strong troubleshooting/root-cause analysis
Strong client-facing communication
Ability to independently own complex escalations

Experience with MSP platforms such as Connect Wise Manage, NinjaRMM and IT Glue is highly valuable.
