Mathematica is looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to join the Data Solutions team to design and deliver scalable, high‑performing business intelligence and data solutions. This role combines deep expertise in Power BI and / or Tableau with strong data engineering, data modeling, and cloud capabilities to build solutions spanning data pipelines and data marts through semantic models, dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on senior engineer who can independently solve complex data and BI challenges while providing technical leadership to project teams.
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise BI and analytics solutions using Power BI and Tableau, translating business requirements into scalable, intuitive, production‑ready products.
- Design supporting data models and data marts, including dimensional models, star/snowflake schemas, semantic models, and aggregation strategies optimized for analytics and reporting.
- Build and maintain production data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using SQL and, where appropriate, Python, .NET, AWS‑native services, Snowflake, or Databricks.
- Optimize end‑to‑end BI performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks across dashboards, semantic models, queries, data models, pipelines, databases/warehouses, and cloud infrastructure.
