JOB TITLE: Systems Administrator

REPORTS TO: Senior Manager, Infrastructure
POSITION PURPOSEThe Systems Administrator is a vital member of the IT team with a primary focus on the day-to-day management and support of the Company’s server, cloud, and network infrastructure that spans across multiple sites. This role demands a hands-on approach to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the systems, applications, and network that support core organizational functions across various locations.
This position emphasizes operational aspects such as administration, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of servers, endpoints, identity services, and network devices. It also involves interfacing with other members of the IT team and liaising with third party providers, adapting systems and network strategies to support the Company’s growth through acquisitions and expansion of infrastructure reach.
- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot physical and virtual servers, operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), and core business applications to ensure reliable day-to-day operations
- Manager user accounts, groups, permissions, and access controls through Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra , and Microsoft 365
- Perform routine system administration tasks, including patch management, software updates, backups, and disaster recovery testing to safeguard data and maintain business continuity
- Provide endpoint support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals, including imaging, deployment, and resolution of hardware and software issues
- Assist with the administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the network infrastructure across multiple sites and different ISP vendors, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other associated equipment primarily using Meraki technology
- Monitor network and system performance, ensuring availability and reliability, and respond promptly to outages and other issues
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Ring Central VOIP services, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
- Provide hands-on support for all systems and network-related issues, acting as an escalation point of contact for internal teams and external partners
- Collaborate with IT team members to ensure smooth and reliable operation of servers, software, and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes
- Assist in system and network security measures, including managing firewalls, endpoint protection, and regular security audits to protect data and infrastructure
- Support adherence to industry standards and compliance requirements, such as PCI-DSS, through diligent monitoring and documentation
- Maintain detailed documentation for system and network configurations, solutions, and processes
- Coordinate with technology vendors, including Cisco, AT&T, and other service providers, to resolve issues and ensure technology solutions are aligned with business needs and deliver optimal performance
