Epic RTE Analyst

Epic Referrals & Authorizations Consultant

Client is seeking an experienced Epic Referrals & Authorizations Consultant to support a large-scale optimization initiative impacting 70 clinics. This role will focus on redesigning and optimizing referral workflows, authorizations, and Epic Work Queues (WQ) to improve operational efficiency and user experience.

Required Qualifications

+ Epic Referrals Certification (Required)

+ Epic RTE OR RTA Certificaiton (Required)

+ Proven experience supporting Epic Referrals and Authorizations in a healthcare provider environment

+ Strong Work Queue (WQ) design, optimization, and management experience

+ Experience conducting workflow assessments and leading optimization initiatives

+ Hands-on Epic build and configuration experience

+ Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

+ Epic Prelude Certification

+ Epic Cadence Certification

+

Experience with Epic Foundation design and optimization methodologies

+ Revenue cycle and operational workflow optimization experience

Key Responsibilities

+ Assess and optimize referral and authorization workflows

+ Design, build, and configure Epic Referrals, Authorizations, and Work Queues

+ Lead workflow discovery and future-state design sessions

+ Support testing, validation, issue resolution, and user adoption activities

+ Collaborate with operational leaders, analysts, and project stakeholders

+ Track optimization outcomes and support upgrade-related activities

This is an excellent opportunity to serve as a trusted Epic advisor on a high-visibility optimization project while helping improve referral operations across a large healthcare organization.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85.00 - $90.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
