This position may require applicants to be able to get a US Security clearance. Clearance is not required before starting, but eligibility will be verifiedWe are looking for a seasoned database professional to join a small team to add maturity across database processes. This is a net-new position and will involve scoping out, maturing, and establishing processes for database management in PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate should be comfortable having high-level conversations with stakeholders about database needs & design decisions as well as get hands-on with schema design, security & access management configurations, and technology decisions.
To be considered you must have strong PostgreSQL Database administration experience. Any exposure to reliability implementation including infrastructure-as-code, terraform, docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, or scripting, would also be helpful.
While you would be working within a larger tech org, this is a small, newer team with a high degree of opportunity for autonomy & influence. Prior experience managing vendors, working with internal-stakeholder-heavy positions, and making architecture or technology/tooling decisions is also a plus.
