Job Description & How to Apply Below

Join the City of Beaverton’s Information Technology and Services team to shape the internal tools and web experiences that hundreds of City staff rely on every day. As the city’s next Web Analyst, you’ll be the go-to partner for city-branded sites and applications: guiding software developers so new web apps feel native to the city, administering and improving SharePoint and Microsoft Power Platform solutions, and championing accessible, usable, and secure design across our web ecosystem.

This role is hands-on and highly collaborative. You’ll work closely with the communications team, software developers, and business analysts to translate business needs into intuitive site structures and automated workflows. Having a solid understanding of software architecture will be important, but programming experience is not required: this role is more about applying strong User Interface/User Experience judgment to the city’s tools.

Upcoming projects include helping the city transition to a new Content Management System and redesigning internal SharePoint sites, ensuring smooth implementation, quality assurance, and stakeholder adoption.

This is a full-time, exempt, Management 2 (M2) position. There is one vacancy. This position will be eligible for a hybrid schedule (up to 3 days per week of remote work) following probation.

  • Provide advanced support for web content managers in other city departments.
  • Design and develop automated processes, scripts, and procedures to support data management, security, validation, compliance, and reporting.
Web modernization, usability & accessibility
  • Research, test, recommend, and implement new web technologies, ADA/usability standards, security models, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct QA and performance testing for existing and new web applications, CMS packages, and web tools.
  • Assess web business processes and recommend redesigns, upgrades, or replacements.
Cross-department collaboration and project work
  • Lead cross-departmental efforts to modernize, optimize, and secure city web platforms.
  • Collaborate with ITS colleagues on infrastructure upgrades, security, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Meet with staff across the city to determine needed program enhancements, maintenance needs, and application updates.
Customer service and organizational effectiveness
