Responsible for leading the creation, design, development and implementation of innovative database and or backend solutions for assigned area of responsibility; coordinate with other internal departments to ensure customer requests integrate and deploy as scheduled; ensure the quick implementation of mass data change requests and complex report/data extraction requests making sure the impact on existing applications is adequately analyzed and evaluated;

lead the design and development of test codes for data conversions.

This role will be based in our Woburn, MA office, located at 130 New Boston Street and offers in-person collaboration and flexibility to work from home.

• Leading the creation, design, development and implementation of innovative database or backend solutions for assigned area of responsibility in accordance to departmental and Company guidelines and time frames
• Coordinate with other internal departments to ensure customer requests integrate and deploy as scheduled
• Ensure the quick implementation of mass data change requests and complex report/data extraction requests making sure the impact on existing applications is adequately analysed and evaluated
• Lead the design and development of test codes for data conversions
• Enter codes to create development database, reviewing application design specifications and database access methods to prevent inefficient coding techniques
• Resolve application support tickets escalated to employee's level ensuring appropriate resolution of issues in a timely manner
• Write and assist departmental staff with technical system programs to provide specialized database access
• Data Support - Ensure data is protected according to departmental policies and procedures and is retrievable in a timely manner, auditing back up rotation to ensure adherence to established standards
• Establish periodic schedules to test validity of backups and ability to perform restores
• Establish query standards for accessing databases of different sizes, selecting and upgrading recommended attributes
• Provide tuning and performance of the database environment by monitoring optimum values for database parameters
• Develop scripts, documentation, and procedures for database administration, testing, and production

• Proactively oversee the activities involved in quality resolution of problems related to area of responsibility
• Respond with a sense of urgency to problems escalated to employee's level
• Escalate to supervisor any situation outside the employee's control that could adversely impact the services being provided
• Provide analysis and feedback to management staff and appropriate departments regarding recurring problems, recommending improvements aimed at reducing future occurrences of problems
• Participate in creating, administering, and continuously updating procedures for resolution of all related issues
