Telecommunications BIM Designer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Telecommunications BIM Designer for a full-time contract opportunity supporting engineering services projects in Portland, OR, with hybrid or remote flexibility depending on candidate location. This role is ideal for a BIM professional with strong Revit experience and a background in telecommunications, low-voltage, security, life-safety, data center, or building systems design.

The Telecommunications BIM Designer will help develop detailed BIM models, coordinated construction documents, and accurate design deliverables for complex building infrastructure systems. This is a strong opportunity to join a collaborative project environment with experienced technical teams, supportive discipline leads, and meaningful work that directly supports constructable, well-coordinated project outcomes.

• Develop and maintain Revit BIM models for telecommunications, low-voltage, security, and life-safety systems.
• Create 2D construction drawings, plans, risers, equipment layouts, details, and related documentation.
• Design and document telecom pathways, cable routing, equipment layouts, cable tray, and supporting infrastructure.
• Coordinate BIM models with architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
• Use Navisworks for model coordination, clash detection, and issue resolution.
• Incorporate field markups, design revisions, and coordination updates using tools such as Bluebeam.

• Pay: $50 to $72 per hour.

  Hybrid or remote depending on location.
• Candidates located within approximately 50 miles of a company office will generally be expected to work hybrid, approximately 2 days per week in the office.
• Candidates located more than 50 miles from a company office may be considered for fully remote work anywhere in the U.S.
