Principal Product Manager, Public Sector - Remote

As part of Akamai's Cloud Technology Group (CTG), our mission is to empower customers to build powerful, distributed intelligent applications, through a simple, scalable, cloud platform. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the foundation of Akamai's next-generation Government products. This involves solving complex customer problems, while meeting compliance standards. You will collaborate closely with federal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class solutions.

As a Principal Product Manager for Public Sector, you will be responsible for:

• Leading product strategy and roadmap development aligned with Public Sector requirements and market opportunities.
• Gathering and synthesizing requirements from government agencies and internal stakeholders to guide product development.
• Defining and tracking success metrics for new products and features from prototype through production deployment.
• Presenting product vision and updates to senior leadership and government stakeholders with compelling clarity.
• Building partnerships across product, engineering, and customer-facing teams while maintaining effective communication channels.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 10 years of product management expertise launching complex cloud/SaaS products and a bachelor's degree Computer Science or similar field.
• Have U.S. citizenship and a Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance are required.
• Demonstrate experience supporting DoD, IC, or federal civilian agencies in cleared environments.
• Have a deep understanding of US Public Sector compliance frameworks, including FedRAMP and Cloud Impact Levels.
• Have advanced technical knowledge in cloud computing, distributed systems, and cybersecurity.
• Enjoy operating in a matrixed organization aligning stakeholders through clear communication and collaboration.
• Be customer-centric, applying a problem-solving mindset to situations and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
